November Faith Note

My dear Brothers in Christ,

In November we remember all our dearly departed family and loved ones and pray for all those in purgatory.

As we embark on the month of November, it is the end of the Liturgical year and many of the daily Scripture readings are about the end of time, the second coming of Jesus Christ.  How prepared are we for His coming and how are we accounting for the lives we are living? I hope you are engaged in these daily readings as this is a critical time before we begin the season of Advent.

Advent begins November 30, 2025. There are many resources available during Advent so that you can follow along on a daily basis with the readings and reflection of the day.

The Amen App has a link to get a daily reading and reflection. Dynamic Catholic will once again have their Advent series of daily reflections. If you subscribe to Magnificat, they have a special Advent Companion guide booklet. This is just to name a few. If you need help with any of them, I would be happy to help.

Entrust yourself with boundless confidence to God’s goodness. “No temptation has overtaken you that in not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

As a service to the parish, Father Kelley specifically asked the Knights to do this,  we will once again be selling the Saint Joseph Sunday Missals, in both English and Spanish starting the weekend of November 15, we hope to get them all sold in the two weekends prior to the start of Advent. Your help before and after the masses that you attend on these weekends will greatly be appreciated.

“See that no one among you has a faithless heart.”  Hebrews 3:12

Vivat Jesus!
